Police are hunting a sex attacker who targeted a 25-year-old woman in an Aberdeen car park.

The victim was sexually assaulted within the NCP car park on Shiprow at around 10pm on Wednesday, 17 April.

Police Scotland has today issued an appeal for witnesses to the “rare” attack.

A spokesman said: “We are looking to trace anyone who may have used the car park around this time.

“Police are particularly keen to trace two women who spoke with a staff member regarding people who were loitering in a stairwell at the car park.

“The women are described wearing black jackets, one with shoulder length hair and the other with a pony tail. Both are thought to be in between mid-20’s and mid-30’s.”

He added: “We would like to reassure the public that these types of incidents are rare in the Aberdeen area.”
