Appeal after men robbed at knifepoint

TWO men have been held up in separate knifepoint robberies in the south of Edinburgh.

In the first incident, at around 2:20pm on Saturday, a 25-year-old man entered the footpath at Castleview Avenue before walking up the hill towards Old Dalkeith Road. A pair of men approached him and one of the suspects pulled out a knife before demanding his possessions.

The first suspect was white, in his 30s, 5ft 3in tall, with a stocky build and short-cropped greyish hair. He was wearing a white Adidas jacket with blue stripes down both arms and across the chest and blue jeans.

The second suspect was white, in his 20s, 5ft 11in with a skinny build, short brown hair and bushy brown eyebrows. He was wearing a white Ellesse jumper with a red and orange logo, a blue checked shirt, white tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a Glaswegian accent.

In the second incident a 23-year-old man was robbed in Leamington Walk at around 11pm on Sunday.

The suspect is white, 25-30 years old, 5ft10in tall with a skinny build and an unkempt beard. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a green jacket and spoke with a Scottish accent.
