Appeal after lorry hits car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry failed to stop when a trailer smashed into a car.

The white curtain-sided articulated lorry struck a blue Audi car at about 2pm on the A7 at the Sheriffhall roundabout heading westbound on Monday.

Officers said despite the car being left "very badly damaged" the lorry failed to stop at the scene. No-one was injured, police said.
