Anniversary appeal to find killers

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of man found dead in a field have renewed their appeal for information 14 years after the killing.

Steven Brown, right, 35, was found near Elphinstone, Tranent, on the morning of February 21, 1999, having been badly beaten and stabbed several times.

Police reopened a probe into the murder last month and charity Crimestoppers has put up a £5000 reward for any information leading to a prosecution.
