Annie Lennox gives inspirational talk to pupils

SINGER and human rights campaigner Annie Lennox urged pupils to get involved in "domestic level activism" by doing something as simple as giving up one cup of coffee a week to help tackle poverty in South Africa.

The former Eurythmics frontwoman gave the inspirational speech to pupils from ten city secondary schools during a visit to James Gillespie's High yesterday.

She told pupils: "You must never think nothing can be done. With commitment, opportunity and belief, change can happen."
