Anne to open brewery plant

ONE of Scotland’s oldest traditional breweries is to receive a royal seal of approval when it opens a plant next month.

Princess Anne will cut the tape on the Belhaven Brewery Company’s new facility in Dunbar on January 18.

George Howell, Belhaven Brewery director, said: “We are truly honoured that the Princess Royal has agreed to officially open our new brewhouse.

“We are looking forward to giving her a guided tour of our new facilities and introducing her to the people and processes behind some of the country’s favourite beers.”
