Animal charity marks 100th year with a Burns supper

Animal welfare charity OneKind, formerly Advocates for Animals, is hosting a special Burns supper in Edinburgh to mark the organisation’s 100 years of protecting vulnerable animals.

During that time, OneKind has campaigned to save wild, domestic and farmed animals from cruelty and mistreatment. This includes campaigns to protect seals from being shot, to end animal snaring, to ban hunting with dogs and the use of animals in experimentation.

The event, hosted by OneKind patron Kay Hamilton, the Dowager Duchess of Hamilton, takes place at the Apex International Hotel on January 26. Guests will have the chance to enjoy an animal-friendly evening of music, poetry and fine vegetarian and vegan food to celebrate Scotland’s Bard and mark the launch of the programme of OneKind’s Centenary celebrations.
