Angus climbers rescued from Glen Doll

TWO climbers have been rescued after becoming lost in appalling weather conditions in the Angus glens.

The two male climbers, said to both be experienced, contacted the emergency services at 9pm on Wednesday night after becoming disorientated in the Glen Doll area.

They were found safe and well in the early hours of the morning.

A spokesman for the Tayside Division of Police Scotland said: “At around 9pm Police Scotland received a message that two climbers were requiring assistance in the Glen doll area, near Kirriemuir, after becoming lost due to the weather conditions.Both males, who are experienced climbers, were traced safe and well by the Police and a local Mountain Rescue team.”
