Angry mum brandished knife at partner

A MUM threatened her partner with a ten-inch kitchen knife after he smashed a picture of her late son.

Margaret McInulty brandished the blade at Christopher Hammond during a drunken row. She then stormed out of their house, in Breich, West Lothian, carrying the weapon and went to a phone box to dial 999.

Livingston Sheriff Court was told that they were watching TV together when Mr Hammond threw an orange across the room and smashed the photograph.

Sherff Graeme Fleming sentenced McInulty to a year’s social work supervision.
