Ambulance service has its kit SORTed

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon visited the Scottish Ambulance Service’s Special Operations Response Teams (SORT) at Newbridge, as they prepared for the festive period.

The teams are called on to deal with major incidents and play a vital role in supporting ambulance operations during severe winter weather. Ms Sturgeon learned more about the team’s specially equipped Land Rovers and six-wheeled all-terrain vehicles, which can operate in the most difficult conditions.
