Alliance set to benefit skin cancer victims

SKIN cancer patients in Edinburgh are set to benefit from a Europe-wide agreement struck by a city charity.

The head of the Maggie's Centre in the Capital – which supports people with cancer– attended a conference in Rome where the alliance was sealed.

A Maggie's spokeswoman said: "It was agreed that an alliance across Europe would be formed to look at the unique needs of people and families affected by melanoma."
