Alleged Muslim sect leader is arrested

NIGERIAN police have arrested a man said to be a leader of a Muslim sect behind dozens of killings in northern Nigeria.

The Borno State police chief said Bunu Wasili, a 65-year-old businessman, is believed to be a founding member and financier of a radical Muslim sect known as Boko Haram. It was outlawed in 2009 after its then leader died in police custody.
