Alex Ferguson helps Scottish charity

A SCOTTISH campaign to raise funds for some of the world’s poorest people has attracted the support of a host of star names.

The Wee Box, Big Change campaign, run by the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (Sciaf), has even won the backing of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Sir Alex said: “I’ve been all over the world in my career and one thing I’ve realised is we have to look after those less fortunate than ourselves, wherever they may live.”

He joins other big names in supporting the charity effort, including singer Susan Boyle, actor Robert Carlyle and broadcaster Kaye Adams.

The campaign urges people to collect spare change, which Sciaf then distributes.
