Al-Qaeda suspects die in vehicle blast

Three suspected al-Qaeda militants were killed when their vehicle exploded during a gunfight with soldiers on the outskirts of the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott yesterday.

The vehicle had entered illegally from Mali over the weekend, security sources said.
