Airport cleaner kept lost items

A CLEANER at Edinburgh Airport has been ordered to perform 80 hours of community service for stealing perfume from planes and not handing in items he found in the terminal.

Jamie Muir, 21, of Union Street, Lochgelly, had pleaded guilty previously at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to two charges of stealing perfume from Flybe aircraft and to two charges of theft by finding.

The court heard Muir made a full admission and a mobile phone and MP3 player were recovered.
