Advice from Big Apple on cycling moves

NEW York's transport commissioner is set to address a conference in the Capital about ways to encourage more commuters to cycle.

Janette Sadik-Khan, who oversaw a project to add 200 miles of new on-street bike lanes in the Big Apple, will speak via videolink to an audience, including MSPs and transport experts. The Walking, Cycling and Connecting Communities Conference is set to take place at the Radisson Blu hotel on the Royal Mile.
