For 95-year-old Adam Kelly, from Galashiels, has been serving up 99s, cones and tubs to Borders residents for more than 50 years - without ever taking a day off.

He has been awarded the British Empire Medal for services to business and the community while officially being recognised as Britain’s oldest ice-cream man.

Adam’s first job also involved dairy as he started out at the age of 15 delivering milk and cream to local businesses for his father on a horse and cart.
