Actor Ricky Groves reveals painful recovery from marriage split

FORMER EastEnders actor Ricky Groves has revealed how he has come to terms with his split from wife Hannah Waterman and doubts he will marry again.

Groves, who also appeared on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, said he now realised they had "grown apart" and had "put things off".

Waterman, his Albert Square co-star, walked out on the marriage in January.

"It pains me to say it but at the time it was a real jolt, the worst thing that had ever happened to me," said Groves, who has removed his wedding ring.

"But I've had time to think about it and, as sad as it is, maybe our relationship had become routine and we had grown apart.

"I think I'd just been putting things off, telling myself it would be all right, but then it got to the stage where it wasn't."
