Activists ‘had great fun’ storming office

GREEN protesters who stormed the offices of an energy firm dressed as polar bears had “great fun” doing so, a court has heard.

Greenpeace members entered the Cairn Energy headquarters in Lothian Road in July in objection to the company’s scheme to drill off the coast of Greenland.

Some were reprimanded and one appeared yesterday at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. Natasha Smith, 24, from Bristol, denies a breach of the peace charge.
