Action plan for blackspot
IMPROVEMENTS have been promised at a notorious accident blackspot.
The Leadburn junction near Penicuik sees an accident a week, according to locals.
After a fatal crash four years ago, plans were drawn up for a roundabout, but it was never built.

Hide AdThe death of an 87-year-old driver in January renewed demands for action and improvements are planned.
Jeremy Purves, Liberal Democrat MSP for Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale, said: "While the work that will be carried out falls short of an engineered roundabout, the lighting, curb and signage improvements will enhance the safety of the junction."
