Action for filming project

THIS year's Edinburgh 48 Hour Film Project has opened for entries, challenging teams to produce a short film in just two days.

The event will be held on the weekend of May 20-22, with more than 500 participants expected to take part.

It will kick-off with a launch party at the Banshee Labyrinth in Niddry Street from 7pm on March 29, with screenings of past entries.

This year, teams will each meet on the evening of May 20 and be given a character, prop and line of dialogue to use in their films, along with a randomly-assigned genre.

They then spend two days writing, shooting and editing their films, which will be screened at the Cameo on May 24, 25 and 26.
