Action day aimed at tackling child poverty

AN action day to discuss eradicating child poverty in Midlothian is to be held on April 4.

The event, which takes place at Loanhead Miners Community Wing, is being hosted by Midlothian Council on behalf of Midlothian Moving Forward.

The day will look at the issues affecting children, young people and families experiencing poverty, identify priority areas of work which can help families to move out of poverty, and develop specific actions and targets aimed at addressing child poverty.
