Ace David plays his cards right to bag £900k

HE STARTED playing poker with friends at Edinburgh University, never imagining it would one day change his life.

Now, just five years after first picking up the deck, 23-year-old David Vamplew has landed an incredible 900,000 in one go.

The Edinburgh-based maths graduate competed against hundreds of players from around the world to win the PokerStars European Poker Tour main event in London.

Remarkably, David only started playing live tournaments this year and his previous cash win was just 1900 in a side event in the summer.
