Access plea for disabled

OUTDOOR festivals have been criticised by a city organisation for failing to cater for disabled people.

Capability Scotland said large-scale events had to improve disabled access both around the sites and for toilets and parking.

The charity even urged the Edinburgh Mela to look again at how it made access around Leith Links better for the disabled.

The views followed a nationwide survey by wheelchair users.
