Academic's Indian summer to boost business prospects

An Edinburgh-based academic taking part in a British Council mission to two of India's major cities will help build new links with one of the world's fastest growing economies.

Dr Santhosh Abraham from Heriot-Watt University's School of Management and Languages is one of a number of academics from leading Scottish universities taking part in the delegation, which will showcase Scotland's expertise in finance and business education to Indian counterparts.

This week's mission to Bangalore and Ahmedabad is part of the British Council Education UK Scotland programme, designed to raise awareness of Scottish education's unique offering and build partnerships that could improve Scotland's future business prospects.

Dr Abraham said: "We are delighted to be taking part in the British Council mission, particularly with its focus on finance and business and the opportunity to forge links in research and teaching."
