Aberdeen woman dies after being hit by lorry

A FEMALE pedestrian has died after being struck by a lorry on a main road in Aberdeen this morning.

The collision happened in the city’s King Street at around 9.15am, Police Scotland said.

Officers closed the road between Linksfield Road and Regent Walk to allow accident investigations to take place.

The woman, whose age has not been released, is expected to be named in the next few days.

A force spokeswoman said: “One woman has died as a result of a collision with a lorry in King Street, Aberdeen.”
