Aberdeen hotel fire ‘suspicious’, say police

A SERIOUS blaze at a disused hotel in Aberdeenshire is being treated as suspicious.

Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses following the fire at the Torryburn Hotel in Kintore on Thursday night.

A total of 45 firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 11pm to extinguish the blaze using a specialist height vehicle and thermal imaging equipment.

Extensive damage to the empty property was caused. No one was injured.
