Abba: Fan's tribute

James Graham, a member of Scottish Abba tribute band The Super Troopers, said the news of a reunion would delight Scots Abba fans.

"Agnetha has always been the one who was hesitant to get back with the band. As the song Super Trouper suggested she was uncomfortable with fame and said she was frightened when fans did things like gather round their car.

"It would be really fantastic if they did reform, even for a little while," said Mr Graham, a physics teacher at Our Lady's High in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow.

Mr Graham added: "From a musicologist point of view many of Abba's songs are on the rhythm of Scottish folksong melodies, which might account for their popularity here."
