A7 remains closed after severe flood

THE A7 remained closed this morning due to severe flooding from the Sheriffhall roundabout to the Sheriffhall park and ride.

Work is continuing to reopen the route and diversions are in place.

A motorist had to be rescued yesterday from the roof of his car after driving through a deep pool of water believing it to be a small puddle. Firefighters kept the 58-year-old from getting soaked using an inflatable sledge after the incident at Whistlebridge, near Harburn.
