A splash of the Caribbean

A NUMBER of street artists were busy bringing a touch of the sunny Caribbean to the Capital over the weekend.

The artists gathered on Castle Street to create a mural aimed at fusing together the influences of the Caribbean and Scotland.

The event was organised by Brugal Rum, which said it had been inspired by the Dominican Republic's thriving street art culture, inviting street artists from Edinburgh and beyond, including Rekor and Syrkus, Conzo and Lyken Vues to take part in a live event in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle.

Crowds of people watched the art come to life, with "a giant paintbox" evolving over the two-day event.
