A novel way to meet top kids' author

Pupils from Deans Primary School in Livingston were clamouring to get books signed by author Jacqueline Wilson.

The talent behind the hugely popular Tracey Beaker books, Wilson was meeting the pupils as part of a live webcast for the award-winning Meet Our Authors child literature programme.

She spoke to around 30,000 children across the UK, who took part in the event run by the Scottish Book Trust and held at the BBC's Pacific Quay HQ.

The author spoke about her most famous character, how she comes up with ideas and what it's like to be an author.
