A month is too long in paradise

LOVELY locations can still lead holidaymakers to long for home, according to a survey.

Asked to describe their dream holiday, most Britons settled for a hot, villa-accommodation spot close to a tropical beach.

But most reckoned three weeks in paradise would be enough, as they would then start getting homesick, the survey of 1,826 people by travel agent www.sunshine.co.uk found.

Those polled said their optimum temperature for a dream holiday would be 28C (82F), with most settling for a private villa.

As many as 67 per cent agreed three weeks would be ideal and 59 per cent wanted to be within 100 metres of a beach.
