A lot waiting on allotments

MORE than 2,000 people are on the waiting list for an allotment plot in the Capital, new figures show.

Information released by the city council shows that there are currently 2,337 would-be gardeners waiting for a plot.

The council currently has 21 allotments across the city, with a total of 1,321 plots across all the sites.
