A little Latin America comes to the Capital

A Latin American festival will be held at Tollcross Community Centre and the Eric Liddle Centre in Morningside Road in May.

The event will be organised by Latin America Canta en Edinburgh, a group of singers living in Edinburgh, led by Chilean singer songwriter Carlos Arredondo.

The programme, which includes concerts, parties and films, will be mostly in Spanish, although for some events, such as subtitled films, a knowledge of the language is not necessary.

It begins on May 5 with Desde Edimburgo a Montevideo/From Edinburgh to Montevideo, a literary Latin American journey in the words of Eduardo Galeano, Mario Benedetti y Pablo Neruda at Tollcross Community Centre. For programme details contact [email protected].
