8 vehicle crash causes M8 delays
An eight-car crash on the Edinburgh city bypass caused long tailbacks stretching as far as the M8 and left the road partially closed on Friday afternoon.
All eight vehicles were travelling eastbound during the incident which took place between Dreghorn and Baberton junction on the A720 at around 2pm.
Police said that no-one was hurt in the crash.
Traffic was reduced to one lane for about 30 minutes while the road was cleared and debris moved onto the hard shoulder.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said he was unable to comment on the cause of the crash.
