66 gallons of alcohol seized from young

"These are the things that have a direct impact on communities and affect people's quality of life.

"Statistics over the last few years show big reductions and show that Tayside Police, along with their partner agencies, are making a very real difference to communities in this respect."

Sgt Robertson added: "'It is important to stress that the vast majority of young people do not get involved in this type of behaviour.

"However, we cannot ignore the fact that there is still a small number who seem unwilling to acknowledge that their actions are unacceptable and harmful.

"By consuming alcohol, youngsters can put other people in harm's way and expose themselves to very real risk of harm or exploitation."
