50 firefighters tackle Dingwall hotel blaze

OVER 50 firefighters are currently tackling a serious blaze at the Royal Hotel in Dingwall town centre.

The emergency services were called to the premises early this morning.

Eight fire tenders from across the Highlands, including Dingwall and Inverness, were called to the scene.

A number of nearby properties are said to have been evacuated.

Hill Street and High Street are closed.

Diversions have been put in place and Northern Constabulary has asked the public to avoid the area.
