1980s star Corey Haim dies at 38

FORMER teen actor Corey Haim, who shot to fame in The Lost Boys, has died of an apparent drugs overdose in Los Angeles today aged 38.

Canadian-born Haim first became a star with the 1986 film Lucas which he followed up the likes of The Lost Boys, License to Drive, Watchers and Fast Getaway.

His first role had been in the 1984 hit "Firstborn," in which he played a young child caught up in a family war.

He then appeared in the 1985 television movie "A Time to Live."

In recent years, he appeared in the American A&E reality TV show "The Two Coreys" with his former co-star and friend Corey Feldman.

He also appeared in a cameo role in the Lost Boys sequel Lost Boys: The Tribe.
