150 gravestones vandalised at night

AROUND 150 headstones were vandalised at Cardonald Cemetery in Glasgow some time between 5pm on Wednesday and 9am yesterday.

A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said: "This was an act of mindless vandalism that will cause great distress to many families in this area."
