With longer nights and better weather right here at home, it often seems a a little indulgent – not to mention expensive – to jet off on a summer holiday abroad. For quality and value almost on your doorstep, Stanwix Park in Cumbria offer both quality and value.
Just over two-and-a-half hours’ drive from Edinburgh, it’s located in the popular Victorian seaside town of Silloth with its 35-acre green, striking promenade and sandy west beach.

Stanwix Park offers a choice of self-catering apartments and caravans to hire for three-, four- and seven-night breaks. They can accommodate four to eight people and range in class from Silver to Platinum – the choice is yours! The park also offers both pet-free and pet-friendly accommodation so you can bring all the members of your family on holiday. A maximum of two pets can be accepted per booking.
If you book seven nights or more for a camping or touring vehicle you’ll receive a 10 per cent discount on the cost of your stay. All pitches are fully serviced with electricity, water and grey waste hook-up (a minimum stay of two nights is required).
You can also enjoy camping without a tent as the park offers camping pods (available to book for a minimum of two nights).
Whatever you choose, unlimited use of the park’s newly refurbished leisure and entertainment centre is included in your total holiday cost – and there’s a lot to keep you occupied.
There’s both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, foot spas and heated loungers. Children are well catered to with a bowling alley, amusement arcade and a mini soft play area.
The park’s Sunset Inn programmes popular family entertainment every night with a selection of live music, magic shows and special guests. Meanwhile, the park’s Dunes Bar offers adults-only entertainment in the form of cash bingo, live music and variety nights.
