The famous St Andrews hotel and resort has a date for reopening following lockdown.

The famous hotel in St Andrews has announced when it'll reopen.

The famous Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews has announced that it'll reopen on Saturday 1 August. The hotel will be adhering to Scottish government advice to ensure social distancing and strict hygiene measures are in place to protect staff and guests.

The luxurious resort which borders the renowned 17th hole on The Old Course golf links and overlooks the coastline is a five-star hotel, is owned by Kohler Co. The hotel features 144 rooms including 35 suites, six restaurants and bars, The Duke’s golf course and the award-winning Kohler Waters Spa and Fitness Centre.

Phased reopening

The hotel will follow a phased opening strategy led by government guidelines. The Duke’s champion golf course reopened this month and is taking bookings. Whilst the restaurants and bars may not be permitted to open by 1 August, guests will still be able to enjoy in-room dining or take-away options. The Kohler Waters Spa and Fitness Centre will remain closed until the government advises otherwise.
