Luxury Highland hotel The Torridon announces reopening date

The five star hotel is set to reopen this month, after being closed due to lockdown.

Located at the head of Loch Torridon, with a backdrop of mountains and forest, The Torridon is a 58-acre estate with a five AA Red Star Hotel – and it’s set to reopen to guests on the 15 July.

Guests can look forward to contemporary ‘Stables’ rooms, fine dining created by new head chef Paul Green in the newly designed 1887 restaurant, and casual dining in Bo & Muc. There’s also a whisky bar with over 300 drams on offer and 120 gins, while the Beinn Bar has a homely pub feel.

For those looking for a more secluded holiday, the two-bedroom Boast House is a private cottage on the estate, and is available to book now.

The Kitchen and Gin gardens not only supply the hotel with seasonal produce for creating their signature gin and meals, they also provide a quiet place for guests’ to enjoy.

Safety measures

Newly implemented safety measures include a single point of check in for all hotel and stables guests to reduce multiple guest touchpoints, and the Torridon Team operating on a new five-day rota to help with social distancing. The Torridon will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to allow for additional deep cleaning of the entire resort.

Co-owner of The Torridon, Dan Rose-Bristow, said: “The Torridon offers a change of scene, pace and place. We look forward to welcoming back families and friends to our home in the Highlands to reconnect, enjoy new experiences and have fun.”

Bookings are now open for dates from 16 July.
