Gym’s new workout
Edinburgh Leisure’s popular gym at Craiglockhart Leisure Centre reopened this week following a major refurbishment, which includes new cardio and resistance equipment, self-powered treadmills, seated cross trainers and an increased free weight area with racks. In addition, the new SYNRGY360 station for gym-based group exercise classes is being introduced; the first time that this has been installed at any Edinburgh Leisure site. Gym only memberships from £30.50.
Colour of 2016
While 2015’s colour was marsala – an earthy wine red – colour authority Pantone have decreed that 2016 is to be the year of Rose Quartz (pastel pink) and Serenity (baby blue). Get in on the act with Ciaté, who have matched those shades with their nail polish in gorgeously named Chinchilla Paint Pot (£9, pictured) and the pink of Hoopla (£9).
