Kelvingrove Park, in Glasgow’s West End, is probably the city’s most popular park - but that means that it gets busy quickly the moment the weather turns warm.
If you want to avoid the crowds there are no lack of choices in the Dear Green Place, with more than 90 parks of various shapes and sizes scattered across the city.
We’ve taken a look at online reviews at Tripadvisor to see which parks - other than Kelvingrove - are rated most highly with locals and visitors.
Here are the top 10.

5. Linn Park
Situated right on the edge of Glasgow - to the south bordering East Renfrewshire - at 200 acres Linn Park is the city's third largest park. The White Cart Water flows through the park, meaning you can have a picnic next to a waterfall. There are many woodland and riverside paths, alongside an equestrian centre, an orienteering course, an 18-hole public golf course and playparks. The park is also home to the large mansion of Linn House, which was converted into homes in 2007. | National World

6. Tollcross Park
Tollcross Park is one of the top choices in the east of Glasgow. It's another green space with a water feature - the Tollcross Burn runs through it - and there's also a children's farm, rose gardens, a baseball field and a couple of playparks. The park is home to Tollcross International Swimming Centre, which hosted events at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. | National World

7. Queens Park
Southsiders certainly have no shortage of great parks to choose from - Queen's Park is another big one, covering 148 acres of land between Strathbungo, Shawlands and Mount Florida just a couple of miles from the city centre. With great views over Glasgow, the park often holds events including a regular famers market and concerts at the Queen's Park Arena. There's also a weekly parkrun, three lawn bowls clubs, a tennis centre, a five-a-side football facility and a pitch and putt course. 8. Alexandra Park
Located in Dennistoun, just to the east of Glasgow city centre, Alexandra Park offers views over Ben Lomond from its highest point - a decent climb from the main park gates and two ponds. There's also a nine-hole golf course in the park, which is home to the 40-foot Saracen Fountain - gifted to the city after the 1901 International Exhibition. | Canva/Getty Images
