Ben Nevis: mountain festival award named after guide who died on UK's highest peak

The Fort William Mountain Festival has set up an award in memory of a widely respected climber and guide who died in an accident on Ben Nevis.

Rob Brown, 33, ran a guiding business from Fort William, died in a fall in Zero Gully in August.

He was described as an experienced, calm and confident climber who did not take risks.

The festival has now set up the new Golden Axe Award film-making competition to honour his memory.
