Tenants’ deposits to be protected
A COMPULSORY scheme to protect deposits paid by tenants when renting property has been approved by the Scottish Government.
The Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations mean landlords will have to hand deposits to a government-approved third party.
