Crosslane in £8.4m move into capital

Manchester-based Crosslane Student Living has entered the competitive Edinburgh accommodation market with the £8.4 million acquisition of a housing unit near the Meadows.

The 148-bed building is currently leased to Edinburgh University until summer 2012 when the firm plans to refurbish. Savills’ student investment team negotiated the sale on behalf of the owner, Peaston & Co.
