The history of the company can be traced back to the 15thcentury, but the current reputation for high-quality homes was established in their development in the picturesque East Neuk village of Coaltown of Wemyss, which had close links to the world-famous Garden City Movement.

The housebuilder of the year award recognises the quality of a business based on its developments, the most recent for Wemyss is their Newbattle Terrace project, in the Morningside area of Edinburgh.

The development has attracted a lot of attention as new homes in the very traditional area are rare and the project is a significant one, watched with interest by residents as it takes shape.

50-54 Newbattle Terrace comprises 24 apartments and penthouses, which have already proved popular with only one still available to buy.

We know that people are keen to see how the development has taken shape and we are delighted now to offer the opportunity to view the showhome.”

The apartments are notable for their bright and spacious open-plan layouts and floor-to-ceiling windows, and will benefit from pretty communal gardens, secure undercroft car parking, dedicated storage and lift access.

Speaking about winning at this year’s Scottish Home Awards, Abbi Brownlow, development manager at Wemyss Propertysaid: “We here at Wemyss base all of our projects on one simple ethos: Integrity, quality, customer service and a passion for what we do.

“The competition was tough this year, and it feels like a real achievement to be recognised as the Housebuilder of the Year 2018.”
