Food news: Stock up on offer of free fizz

The Stockbridge Restaurant is celebrating the beginning of summer’s long light evenings with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco when booking a table for four.

• New spring/summer cocktails are being launched at three Edinburgh bars. Drinks in Hamilton’s, in Stockbridge, include a Watermelon Cooler (Portobello Road Gin, Campari, fresh lemon and homemade watermelon syrup) and a Peach Julep (Gentleman Jack, Aperol, fresh mint, apple juice, bitters and peach puree).

Drinks in Treacle, on Broughton Street, ­include a Rose and Rhubarb Swizzle (rose-­infused Grey Goose, Rhubarb liqueur, cherry syrup and bitters), while drinks in The ­Blackbird in Tollcross include a Strawberry and Rosemary Smash.
