1. The Black Swan at Oldstead, York
The Black Swan Oldstead is a much praised Michelin-starred restaurant on the edge of the North York Moors. It boasts a two acre kitchen garden, in which to enjoy the fresh and rare ingredients grown on the fields and woods of Oldstead, along with the stunning countryside views.
2. The Fat Duck, Bray-on-Thames
The Fat Duck is Heston Blumenthal's renowned restaurant known for its innovative Modern British cuisine. Found on the High Street in Bray, Maidenhead and housed in a 16th-century building, it has been awarded three Michelin stars since opening in 1995.
3. L'Enclume, Cartmel
This is the place to go for a range of fabulous European, British, International, and contemporary dishes. Ran by Simon Rogan, this riverside restaurant focuses on the connection between food and natures, while offering the finest hand grown ingredients.
4. Waterside Inn, Bray-on-Thames
The Waterside Inn has a long history of great dining, and has also been awarded three-Michelin-star status, gaining its first Michelin star in 1974 before the second in 1977, and the final award in 1985. If you are a fan of french cuisine this is the place to go.
